Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program in Chelmsford, MA, is dedicated to fostering healthy nutrition among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. We offer personalized nutrition education and counseling to support the health of mothers and children. Our program provides essential breastfeeding guidance, counseling, and necessary supplies, including breast pumps. Participants receive a debit card that allows them to purchase nutritious foods, including milk, whole grains, beans, cereals, fruits, and vegetables, tailored to meet their family's needs. In addition, WIC connects families to vital resources like SNAP, housing assistance, daycare, dental care, clothing, and fuel assistance. Eligibility is straightforward; families receiving TAFDC, SNAP, or MassHealth, along with foster children under five, are automatically qualified for support.
