Deborah Cohen

Deborah Cohen, LICSW, is a dedicated Clinical Social Worker and Therapist who believes in the transformative power of collaboration in therapy. With an integrative approach, she combines relational, psychodynamic, and strengths-based perspectives alongside cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based interventions tailored to each client’s unique needs. Deborah is especially committed to understanding her clients within their cultural contexts, emphasizing the significance of ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and religion on their development and identity. She provides individual therapy for adults across a broad age spectrum, assisting those facing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and struggles with identity, self-esteem, college adjustment, and life transitions. Additionally, Deborah has a wealth of experience in training and supervising psychologists and social workers. Her special interests lie in helping individuals navigate the trauma of interpersonal, sexual, and political violence, as well as in guiding clients through the complexities of negotiating a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer identity.
