Christopher Huvos

Dr. Christopher Huvos is a dedicated psychologist with a rich history of responding to life's challenges in ways that reflect the unique histories and cultural backgrounds of his clients. With over 34 years of experience in private practice and 24 years of inpatient work at three DMH psychiatric hospitals, Dr. Huvos addresses a wide range of human difficulties, from self-defeating behaviors to problematic relationships. He provides the validation often missing in his clients' lives, gently guiding them toward personal growth, mindfulness, and a deeper understanding of themselves. His active engagement in therapy fosters an environment where clients feel seen and heard, enabling the exploration of new possibilities through focused questions and insightful interpretations. A native of Budapest, Hungary, who moved to the United States at age 10, Dr. Huvos is well-versed in various cultures, having lived and worked in France and Libya, and speaks Hungarian, French, German, and some Arabic. He holds an A.B. from Harvard College and an M.A.T. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Additionally, Dr. Huvos served as a Clinical Instructor in Psychology at Harvard Medical School from 1986 to 2012, further solidifying his commitment to the field of psychology and to nurturing the emotional and behavioral skills that empower his clients to take control of their lives.
