Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program in Zachary, LA, is dedicated to fostering healthy eating habits among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission centers around providing essential supplemental foods rich in vital nutrients required for growth and development, alongside comprehensive nutrition education aimed at enhancing diet and health practices. We offer supportive resources for breastfeeding, coupled with referrals to additional health services, ensuring that families receive the holistic assistance they need to thrive.
