Families in Transition (FIT)

Families in Transition (FIT) is dedicated to empowering individuals and families in Zachary, LA, and the surrounding Gardere Community and South Baton Rouge, who face hardships in achieving self-sufficiency. We specialize in providing personalized support over a six-month period, focusing on practical services such as coaching, tutoring, career planning, job search assistance, and financial education. FIT also addresses immediate food needs through our assistance programs, ensuring families have access to essential resources. While our financial aid is limited and prioritized for basic necessities, we strive to offer non-financial support whenever possible to promote long-lasting self-reliance. Interested individuals can apply through a written application, followed by an interview to determine program eligibility.
