Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Winnfield, LA, is dedicated to cultivating a generation of leaders who advocate for a fair and sustainable food system. This empowering program offers comprehensive training in organic food systems at the Allegheny Farm, allowing fellows to engage deeply with issues of social, environmental, and economic justice. With no tuition fees, we ensure that the Fellowship is accessible to all. Participants will have the opportunity to grow and distribute a variety of crops, lead educational initiatives in innovative health care, manage community and school gardens, and enhance food literacy in educational settings. Additionally, fellows will bolster farmers markets and develop distribution strategies that improve access to healthy food while collaborating with regional non-profits during their Community Action Year. Applications are accepted until March, and the fellowship experience typically runs from May to October.
