Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

Located in Westwego, LA, the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program is dedicated to fostering healthy nutrition for low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, along with infants and children from birth to five years. Through our program, participants receive access to nutrient-rich supplemental foods essential for growth and development, alongside comprehensive nutrition education that promotes better dietary practices. We prioritize support for breastfeeding mothers and provide valuable referrals to additional health services to ensure every family thrives. If you are part of the Louisiana Medicaid, SNAP (Food Stamp), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), LA CHIP, or LA MOMS programs, you are already positioned to meet our income requirements. Caregivers of children aged five and under also qualify, and WIC ensures no proof of citizenship or alien status is required for participation.
