Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program in Westwego, LA, is dedicated to fostering healthy dietary practices among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our program offers a variety of nutrient-rich supplemental foods essential for optimal growth and development, along with nutrition education aimed at enhancing diet and wellness habits. We provide valuable information, support, and encouragement for breastfeeding, as well as referrals to other health services. If you are already enrolled in programs like Louisiana Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, LA CHIP, or LA MOMS, you automatically qualify for WIC. Additionally, caregivers of young children, aged five and under, are also welcome to apply.
