Women, Infants & Children Program (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program in Westwego, LA, is dedicated to promoting healthy eating and nutrition for low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to ensure these families have access to essential supplemental foods rich in the nutrients critical for growth and development. We offer comprehensive nutrition education to empower healthier diet choices, along with support for breastfeeding and resources that connect families to additional health services.
