Food for Families / Food for Seniors

Located in Westwego, LA, Food for Families / Food for Seniors, an initiative of Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans (CCANO), is dedicated to combating food insecurity among seniors. We provide essential food assistance through our monthly nutritional food boxes, which are thoughtfully curated to include items such as canned meats, fruits, vegetables, dry goods, and shelf-stable milk. In addition to emergency food, we empower our participants with nutrition education, offering guidance on healthy eating, budgeting, and easy, nutritious recipes that utilize available items. Our mission is to ensure seniors not only receive vital food supplies but also the knowledge to make healthy choices.
