Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Westlake, LA, is dedicated to empowering the next generation of advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. Our fellowship program provides no-cost education in organic food systems, enabling selected Fellows to deeply engage in hands-on experiences at the Allegheny Farm Campus. Through a combination of training and support, participants develop invaluable skills in growing diversified crops, implementing health education sessions, maintaining community gardens, and integrating food and ecological literacy into local school programs. Our aim is to foster increased access to healthy foods and strengthen local food systems by collaborating with non-profit organizations. Each Fellow embarks on a transformative six-month residency followed by a Community Action Year, where they apply their knowledge to create lasting impacts in their communities. Applications are open until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
