Food for Families / Food for Seniors in Thibodaux, LA, is dedicated to supporting our senior citizens with essential food assistance through monthly nutritional food boxes, provided by Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans. Our program not only addresses immediate needs by delivering nutritious, easy-to-prepare meals that include canned meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy staples, but also empowers seniors through nutritional education. Participants learn how to create balanced diets, stretch their food budgets, and enjoy easy recipes tailored for commodity foods. We are committed to ensuring that seniors have access to healthy foods while fostering a sense of community and well-being. To enroll, seniors are encouraged to complete the Preliminary Certification application available online.
