Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Tallulah, LA, empowers passionate individuals to become advocates for a just food system through comprehensive hands-on training and education. This program is designed to cultivate future leaders who champion socially, environmentally, and economically sustainable practices in agriculture. During their six-month residency at the Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows engage in organic food system education and gain practical experience by growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing innovative community health educational sessions, maintaining school and community gardens, and advocating for food and ecological literacy in educational settings. Additionally, participants collaborate with local non-profits during their Community Action Year, extending their impact by supporting farmers markets, enhancing distribution channels for healthy food access, and mentoring future cohorts. By offering this education at no cost, the Fellowship ensures that these invaluable opportunities are accessible to all, building a stronger, healthier community in the process.
