Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program in Shreveport, LA, is dedicated to fostering healthy food habits among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as supporting the nutritional needs of infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to ensure that families have access to supplemental foods that are rich in essential nutrients, alongside comprehensive nutrition education that empowers individuals to improve their diet and health. We also offer guidance and encouragement for breastfeeding, along with referrals to additional health services. To participate in WIC, please bring everyone applying for the program to your appointment at our clinic, and together we can work towards a healthier future for your family.
