Women, Infants and Children (WIC) in Shreveport, LA, is dedicated to fostering healthy food habits for low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our program offers essential supplemental foods rich in nutrients vital for growth and development, along with comprehensive nutrition education aimed at enhancing diet and health practices. We prioritize supporting breastfeeding mothers through guidance and encouragement, and we also provide referrals to additional health services to ensure full access to the support families need.
