The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship based in Saint Martinville, LA, is dedicated to empowering the next generation of food advocates and teachers through immersive, experiential education. This unique program fosters a sustainable food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. By providing organic food system training at our Allegheny Farm Campus, we ensure accessibility to all aspiring Fellows by charging no tuition. Over six months, selected individuals engage in hands-on learning while cultivating diversified crops, supporting community gardens, and integrating food and ecological literacy into educational settings. After their fellowship, participants embark on a Community Action Year, partnering with non-profits to create lasting impact in food access and health education throughout the region. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply by March each year for experiences running from May to October.
