Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Saint Amant, LA, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just food system. Our program empowers Fellows through hands-on training in organic food systems, ensuring they become effective teachers and leaders. The Fellowship offers a six-month immersive experience at Allegheny Farm, where participants engage in diversified crop production, run community gardens, and develop educational initiatives that promote food and ecological literacy. By participating in health care educational sessions, supporting local farmers markets, and collaborating with regional non-profits, our Fellows actively promote food assistance and enhance access to healthy foods for all. Our commitment to inclusivity means we do not charge tuition, making this vital program more accessible. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the Fellowship experience spanning from May to October.
