Diabetes HELP, located in Ruston, LA, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Louisiana Medicaid recipients living with diabetes. Through our comprehensive diabetes self-management education program, we empower individuals with the knowledge and skills they need to effectively manage their condition. Our supportive environment fosters collaboration among patients, pharmacists, physicians, and healthcare providers, ensuring that every participant receives the care they deserve. In our small group sessions, participants engage in discussions about managing diabetes and receive valuable insights on critical topics such as nutrition, physical activity, medication management, and recognizing signs of blood sugar fluctuations. While we emphasize education and self-management, our program complements regular medical care, bridging the gap between patients and their healthcare teams.
