Breastfeeding Support Group

In Rayne, LA, the Breastfeeding Support Group serves as a welcoming haven for expectant, new, and experienced mothers. Here, mothers come together to share their breastfeeding journeys in a friendly, accepting atmosphere, fostering connections that celebrate the beauty of motherhood. Led by La Leche League Leaders, our meetings emphasize supportive mother-to-mother sharing and provide valuable nutrition education for both moms and their babies. We rotate through essential topics such as the benefits of breastfeeding, preparing to bring baby home, strategies for avoiding common challenges, and guidance on nutrition and weaning. Although in-person gatherings are currently suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we encourage mothers to reach out to their local leaders for alternative support options and future meeting details, ensuring that no mother feels alone on her breastfeeding journey.
