Diabetes Management Program

At the Ochsner Diabetes Management Program in Raceland, LA, we are dedicated to empowering individuals aged 18 and older with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage diabetes, including type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes. Our accredited program, backed by the American Diabetes Association, offers engaging Basic Diabetes Group Classes that last a single 5-hour session, complete with lunch and interactive learning delivered by our team of certified diabetes educators, including registered nurses and dietitians. Our monthly classes cover essential topics such as diabetes overview, blood sugar monitoring, medication management, healthy eating, and physical activity, all aimed at preventing and managing complications. We invite those seeking to enhance their understanding of diabetes management to connect with their physician for a referral to our program.
