The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Raceland, LA is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders committed to a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. This fellowship empowers individuals through comprehensive training in organic food systems, enabling them to become educators and advocates within their communities. With no tuition fees, accessibility is at the heart of our mission. Throughout the six-month experiential program at our Allegheny Farm Campus, fellows engage in hands-on learning, collaborating with local partners to grow and distribute diversified crops, implement educational health initiatives, maintain community gardens, and enhance food literacy in schools. After their initial fellowship, participants enter a Community Action Year, applying their skills alongside regional non-profit organizations to drive sustainable, healthy food access and support local food initiatives. Interested candidates should apply by March for the opportunity to gain invaluable experience from May to October.
