MOVE! Weight Management Program

MOVE! Weight Management Program in Plaquemine, LA, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through comprehensive weight management and health promotion strategies. Our mission is to annually screen every Veteran receiving care at VA facilities for obesity and connect them with tailored weight management services that meet their individual needs and preferences. We offer a variety of options including engaging group sessions, convenient telephone lifestyle coaching, and the innovative TeleMOVE! program, which allows for in-home messaging and clinician support. For those who prefer to take a self-directed approach, the MOVE! Coach mobile app provides tools and resources for effective weight management. Additionally, we offer medications and bariatric surgery for Veterans who continue to face challenges after participating in MOVE!
