Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Plaquemine, LA, nurtures the next generation of advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. Through comprehensive training and hands-on experience, our Fellowship empowers selected individuals to engage in initiatives that promote organic farming, community health, and ecological literacy. Our program, which is free of tuition, emphasizes accessibility while equipping Fellows to grow and distribute diverse crops on market-style farms, lead educational sessions, maintain school gardens, and enhance food access through innovative distribution channels. After an immersive six-month residency at the Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, partnering with local non-profits to implement their learned skills and transform food systems. Applications are accepted until March, with the program running from May to October, inviting passionate individuals to join us in fostering a just food environment.
