Food for Families / Food for Seniors

Located in Pineville, LA, Food for Families / Food for Seniors, a program of Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans, is dedicated to providing crucial food assistance to eligible seniors in our community. Every month, seniors receive a carefully curated food box that includes nourishing items such as canned meats, vegetables, fruits, breakfast cereals, and essential dairy products, all aimed at promoting health and well-being. Alongside these nutritious supplies, we offer nutrition education that equips participants with vital knowledge on preparing healthy meals, managing caloric intake, and making the most of their food budget. Our mission is to combat food insecurity for seniors by ensuring they not only receive emergency food support but also the resources necessary to lead a healthier life. To enroll in our program, interested individuals can obtain and complete the Preliminary Certification application form.
