Diabetes Management Program

The Ochsner Diabetes Management Program in Pearl River, LA, is dedicated to empowering individuals with diabetes to take charge of their health. Accredited by the American Diabetes Association, our compassionate team of certified diabetes educators, including registered nurses and dietitians, provides essential support to adults aged 18 and older living with type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes. We offer engaging monthly Basic Diabetes Group Classes, structured in a single 5-hour session that includes lunch and interactive learning using various tools. Participants gain valuable knowledge on vital topics such as blood sugar monitoring, prevention and management of diabetes complications, medication management, healthy eating, and exercise strategies. Our holistic approach also addresses the psychosocial aspects of living with diabetes and emphasizes personalized goal setting.
