The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Pearl River, LA, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of advocates for an equitable food system that champions social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program provides aspiring fellows with a comprehensive, tuition-free education in organic food systems, empowering them to lead community initiatives that include growing and distributing diverse crops, conducting innovative health education, and facilitating school and community gardens. During their six-month residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, fellows gain hands-on experience, which they further apply during their Community Action Year in partnership with local non-profits. By promoting food justice and increasing access to healthy foods, the fellowship cultivates leaders who support farmers markets, food literacy, and collaborative community food efforts. Applications for this transformative journey are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
