The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program in Opelousas, LA, is dedicated to fostering healthy nutritional habits among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our program offers vital supplemental foods rich in essential nutrients to support optimal growth and development. In addition to providing these nutritious foods, we emphasize the importance of nutrition education to help improve diet and health practices. We offer guidance and support for breastfeeding, ensuring mothers have the resources they need. Our staff is also committed to connecting families with additional health services for comprehensive care. To enroll, individuals are invited to visit our clinic in person on their scheduled appointment date, ensuring that each person applying is present for registration.
