Cajun Area Agency on Aging Inc. is dedicated to enhancing the lives of the elderly in Opelousas, LA, and surrounding areas, covering eight parishes including Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Vermilion. We provide essential services such as nutritionally balanced congregate and home-delivered meals for homebound seniors, ensuring they receive proper nutrition. Our support extends to elderly protective services, homemaker assistance, and in-home respite to give caregivers a much-needed break. We also offer legal assistance to protect the rights of older individuals, while our ombudsman services ensure quality care in long-term facilities. Through organized recreational activities, transportation services for medical and social appointments, and friendly home visits, we foster a supportive community. Additionally, our wellness programs focus on improving mental and physical health through exercise, health screenings, and educational workshops.
