Financial Assistance for Families Working in the Restaurant Industry

In Opelousas, LA, CORE is dedicated to uplifting food and beverage service employees with children who are facing financial challenges due to illness or medical emergencies. Our mission focuses on providing essential financial assistance to those in the restaurant industry during their times of need. We help cover crucial expenses, including rent or mortgage payments, utilities, funeral costs, medical bills and supplies, therapy, and travel expenses related to hospital visits. We understand that raising children involves additional costs, which is why we also assist with necessities like diapers, formula, and childcare expenses. Once a year has passed since the previous award, former CORE grant recipients may reapply for assistance, with a lifetime cap of $7,500 to ensure sustainable support for as many families as possible. At CORE, we are committed to delivering compassionate help to those who nourish our communities.
