Food for Families / Food for Seniors

Located in Oakdale, LA, Food for Families / Food for Seniors, an initiative by Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans, stands committed to alleviating food insecurity among seniors by providing essential food assistance through monthly nutritional food boxes. Each carefully curated box is filled with nutritious staples such as canned meats, vegetables, fruits, breakfast cereals, cheese, pasta, and shelf-stable milk, designed to help seniors maintain a healthy diet while stretching their food dollars. In addition to these vital supplies, our program offers valuable nutrition education, equipping seniors with practical knowledge on meal preparation and healthy eating. We invite eligible seniors to enroll in this supportive program by accessing the Preliminary Certification application form, fostering a nourished and informed community together.
