Valerie Leclercq, EdD, is a compassionate and experienced therapist dedicated to helping adults and elders overcome life's challenges. With a private practice located in the vibrant heart of Lakeview, New Orleans, she brings over 20 years of counseling expertise to her clients. Valerie believes in the transformative power of a collaborative therapeutic relationship, which leads to life-changing results. She is committed to empowering individuals as they navigate issues related to anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and low self-esteem. Holding a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology since 2003, Valerie also earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling in 1997 and a Bachelor's Degree in 1995 from the University of New Orleans. She has maintained her Licensed Professional Counselor status in New Orleans since 2001 and is a Certified EMDR Level II Therapist, specializing in transforming painful memories into more positive experiences. Valerie is passionate about guiding individuals aged 14 and older through their journeys of self-discovery and healing.
