Faye Kennelly believes that art is a language that everyone once spoke fluently, an innate ability possessed by all. As children, individuals use visual imagery to understand and navigate their surroundings, forging a personal connection to the world. Faye’s long relationship with visual art and her intimate engagement with various media inform the way she guides clients toward personal uncovering and self-exploration. In her therapeutic practice, art is the central force, fostering an atmosphere of openness and curiosity about the stories that may be revealed. With experience in a variety of settings, including day treatment programs, alternative schools, and inpatient psychiatric hospitals, Faye approaches Art Therapy using both Art as Therapy and Art Psychotherapy theoretical orientations. Identifying as a trauma-sensitive, somatic-informed Art Therapist, she understands that art-making acts as a catalyst for deeper connection to the body. Faye believes that the process of creating art is intrinsically healing and revealing, empowering clients to discover how their artwork amplifies their voice and connects them to their bodies. She feels genuinely humbled to guide individuals in honoring their intuition and uncovering their inner power.
