Levee Food Pantry

In the heart of New Orleans, the Levee Food Pantry stands as a beacon of hope for those facing food insecurity, a challenge that became even more pressing during the COVID-19 pandemic and the downturn in our tourism-driven economy. Since March 2020, Common Ground Relief has been dedicated to addressing this urgent issue, partnering with local organizations to initiate mobile food distributions before establishing the pantry in January 2022. Committed to providing fresh produce and easy access to nutritious groceries, the Levee Food Pantry operates independently with no requirements for residency, income, or appointments. Open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., we welcome all community members to simply sign in and receive food assistance. We invite volunteers to join our mission, whether by restocking shelves or assisting clients, and encourage those who can to support our efforts through donations or bulk food contributions. Together, we are working to ensure that no one in New Orleans goes hungry.
