At the Goldring Center for Culinary Medicine in New Orleans, LA, we are dedicated to empowering our community through free cooking classes that combine culinary skills with nutrition education. Our state-of-the-art teaching kitchen is where you can join fellow participants and learn from experienced chefs and medical students from the Tulane School of Medicine. Our programs include a series of adult classes designed for all skill levels that teach simple and healthy cooking techniques alongside flavorful recipes. Committed attendees can engage in six two-hour sessions that focus on practical cooking skills and convenience in the home kitchen. For younger aspiring chefs, we offer free children's classes tailored for ages 6-12, introducing them to basic nutrition concepts in a fun, hands-on way. These hour-long classes meet once a week over five weeks, giving kids a chance to create their own treats and take home valuable lessons to share with their families. Whether you’re attending adult classes or accompanying a child, we strive to accommodate different schedules with classes available in the evenings and weekends, all while fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
