Cajun Area Agency on Aging Inc. in Morgan City, LA is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the elderly through thoughtful leadership and a wide range of essential services. Serving eight parishes—Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Vermilion—we provide vital support such as Congregate and Home Delivered Meals to ensure that our senior community receives nutritious food tailored to their needs. Our compassionate team offers Homemaker services to assist with light housekeeping, In-home Respite care to give caregivers a much-needed break, and Legal Assistance to safeguard the rights of our elderly. Through our Ombudsman program, we advocate for residents in Long Term Care facilities, ensuring they receive the best care possible. We also organize Recreational activities that encourage social interaction and well-being, as well as Telephoning services for regular check-ins on older individuals. Our Transportation services facilitate access to senior centers, medical appointments, and important social services. Additionally, we promote wellness through health screenings, medication management, and educational workshops focused on nutrition and exercise.
