Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Morgan City, LA, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of leaders committed to a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. This unique fellowship offers an immersive six-month experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where participants engage in hands-on organic food system education. Fellows are trained to cultivate and distribute diverse crops, promote community gardens, and implement innovative health and nutrition education through partnerships with local organizations. By fostering food and ecological literacy in both schools and communities, our fellows learn to support farmers markets and enhance access to healthy foods. The program emphasizes accessibility by not charging tuition, encouraging broad participation to empower future advocates. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience spanning from May to October.
