Diabetes Management Program

The Ochsner Diabetes Management Program in Metairie, LA, is dedicated to empowering adults with diabetes through comprehensive education and support. Accredited by the American Diabetes Association, our program features a team of certified diabetes educators, including registered nurses and dietitians, who guide individuals aged 18 and older living with type 1, type 2, or gestational diabetes. We offer engaging Basic Diabetes Group Classes in a single 5-hour session, where participants learn vital information about diabetes management, blood sugar monitoring, medication management, and healthy lifestyle choices, all while enjoying a provided lunch in a collaborative environment.
