Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program in Metairie, LA, is dedicated to fostering healthy nutrition and food assistance for low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to equip families with vital supplemental foods rich in essential nutrients that promote growth and development, alongside comprehensive nutrition education to enhance dietary choices and health habits. We offer support for breastfeeding, ensuring mothers receive the encouragement they need, and connect families to additional health services for holistic care. If you are enrolled in programs such as Louisiana Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, LA CHIP, or LA MOMS, you likely qualify for WIC.
