Women, Infants & Children Program (WIC)

The Women, Infants & Children Program (WIC) in Metairie, LA, is dedicated to fostering healthy eating and nutrition for low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to improve nutrition and health through the provision of nutrient-rich supplemental foods essential for growth and development, along with tailored nutrition education designed to enhance diet and wellness practices. We also offer valuable support and resources for breastfeeding mothers, as well as connections to additional health services to ensure comprehensive care for families in need.
