MOVE! Weight Management Program

MOVE! Weight Management Program, located in Leesville, LA, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through a comprehensive weight management and health promotion initiative. Our mission is to screen every Veteran receiving care at VA facilities for obesity, ensuring they are referred to tailored weight management services that meet their unique needs and preferences. We offer a variety of effective options including group sessions, convenient telephone lifestyle coaching, and our innovative TeleMOVE! service, which provides in-home messaging and clinician support. For those who prefer a self-directed approach, the MOVE! Coach mobile app is available. Additionally, we offer weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for Veterans who may need further assistance after participating in MOVE!. We encourage Veterans interested in improving their health to reach out to their local MOVE! Coordinator or VA provider to learn more about getting started on their weight management journey.
