Dr. Eric J. Green holds a Ph.D. in counseling with a specialization in child play psychology from the University of Nebraska Omaha, where he graduated in 2005. He has authored over 60 research and peer-reviewed publications, produced four educational DVDs in collaboration with Alexander Street Press, and has been an esteemed keynote speaker at more than 50 national and international children's mental health conferences. From 2005 to 2018, he served on the faculty at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, and was featured in a CNN documentary titled 'Children of the Storm.' His approach to therapy incorporates music, sandplay, and a deep-seated belief that children and young adults possess the ability to guide themselves towards soulful healing. Dr. Green’s methodology combines analytical and humanistic elements, aligned with the ethos of Carl Jung, who stated, 'We are but wounded healers.' He is the co-editor of 'Integrating Expressive Arts in Play Therapy' and the author of several influential works, including 'Jungian Play Therapy' and 'No Child Forgotten.' Dr. Green has received numerous accolades, including the Outstanding Child Psychology Research Award from AMFT in 2017 and the Professor of the Year Award from the Indiana School Counseling Association in 2015, underscoring his commitment to child advocacy and mental health.
