MOVE! Weight Management Program

MOVE! Weight Management Program, located in La Place, LA, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through comprehensive weight management and health promotion initiatives. Our mission is to ensure that every Veteran receiving care at VA facilities is screened annually for obesity and referred to tailored weight management services that align with their unique needs and preferences. We offer a range of supportive options, including group sessions, personalized telephone lifestyle coaching, and TeleMOVE! for convenient in-home messaging and clinician interaction. Veterans can also take advantage of the MOVE! Coach mobile app for independent weight management, or explore further options like weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for those who continue to face challenges.
