The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program in Kentwood, LA, is dedicated to fostering healthy food habits among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children from birth to five years old. Our mission is to provide essential food assistance that includes nutrient-rich supplemental foods crucial for growth and development. We offer comprehensive nutrition education aimed at enhancing dietary practices and overall health. Our team is committed to supporting and encouraging breastfeeding while also providing valuable referrals to additional health services to ensure the wellbeing of mothers and their children in our community.
