Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program in Kenner, LA, is dedicated to fostering healthy eating habits among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to age five. Our mission is to provide essential supplemental foods that are rich in nutrients crucial for growth and development, along with nutrition education aimed at enhancing dietary and health practices. WIC also offers invaluable support and resources for breastfeeding mothers, plus referrals to other vital health services. If you participate in the Louisiana Medicaid Program, Louisiana SNAP (Food Stamp) Program, Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), LA CHIP, or LA MOMS benefits, you automatically qualify for our services, and caregivers of children under five are also welcome.
