Cajun Area Agency on Aging Inc. is dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors in Kaplan, LA, and the surrounding eight parishes: Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Vermilion. We provide vital services tailored to the needs of the elderly, including congregate meals and home-delivered meals that ensure access to nutritious food for homebound seniors. Our offerings encompass elderly protective services, light housekeeping assistance through our homemaker program, and in-home respite care to give caregivers a much-needed break. We also offer legal assistance to navigate complexities and protect rights, along with an ombudsman program to advocate for individuals in long-term care. Social interaction and a sense of community are fostered through recreational activities and home visits. Furthermore, we assist with transportation to essential medical and social appointments, as well as wellness services designed to improve both mental and physical health. By connecting seniors with resources that promote independence and well-being, Cajun Area Agency on Aging Inc. works tirelessly to support our elderly population in thriving and maintaining a high quality of life.
