Senior Food Assistance Program

Based in Jonesboro, LA, the Senior Food Assistance Program, a vital initiative of the Food Bank of NELA, is dedicated to supporting low-income seniors aged 60 and older by ensuring they have access to nutritious food each month. Our program provides essential food assistance through monthly distributions of approximately 30 pounds of non-perishable items, including canned goods, cereal, pasta, and snacks. We understand the challenges faced by seniors in stretching their food budgets, and our mission is to alleviate food insecurity by delivering reliable supplemental food options that enhance their quality of life.
