Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

In Houma, LA, the Women, Infants and Children Supplemental Food Program (WIC) is dedicated to fostering healthy nutrition for low-income pregnant women, new mothers, and children up to five years old. Our mission is to empower families through access to essential food assistance and comprehensive nutritional education that promotes better health habits. Additionally, we connect families to other necessary health services. Eligibility is straightforward; if you are already enrolled in programs like Louisiana Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, LA CHIP, or LA MOMS, you meet our income criteria and can utilize WIC's resources. Caregivers of young children are also welcome to apply, ensuring that every family has the opportunity for improved nutrition and health.
