MOVE! Weight Management Program

MOVE! Weight Management Program in Houma, LA, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through comprehensive weight management and health promotion services. Our mission is to ensure that every Veteran accessing care at VA facilities is screened for obesity, and we provide personalized referrals to our diverse weight management options. Veterans can participate in supportive group sessions, telephone lifestyle coaching, and the innovative TeleMOVE! program, which offers in-home messaging and clinician contact. For those who prefer self-guided approaches, the MOVE! Coach mobile app is available. Additionally, we offer effective solutions such as weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for Veterans who have faced ongoing challenges despite our initial interventions.
