Food for Families / Food for Seniors

Food for Families / Food for Seniors, a program of Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans in Houma, LA, is dedicated to improving the lives of eligible seniors by providing monthly nutritional food boxes and essential nutrition education. Each carefully assembled food box includes a variety of wholesome items such as canned meats, vegetables, fruits, cereals, and dairy products, all selected to promote healthy eating habits. Participants also benefit from valuable resources on how to prepare nutritious meals, manage caloric intake, and make the most of their food budgets. This initiative not only delivers support but also empowers seniors to maintain a balanced diet while fostering community connections.
