Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Houma, LA US
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Houma, LA, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates and educators committed to transforming the food system for the better. Through a comprehensive six-month experiential training program at our Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows engage in organic food system education, empowering them to lead initiatives that promote environmental sustainability and social equity. Participants learn to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health education, and support local food networks, including farmers markets and community gardens. By fostering food and ecological literacy in school programs and collaborating with regional non-profits, our Fellows not only enhance food access but also mentor future leaders in the community. We are proud to offer this Fellowship tuition-free, ensuring that our program remains accessible to passionate individuals eager to make a difference in their communities. Applications are accepted annually until March, with the Fellowship experience running from May to October.
